Discussion Taunt/Interactive Animations.

Since Aman is doing exams ima try to do some fun animations in the meantime.instead of combat.  

Taunts are a fun part of games, they add to the characters personality and are great to communicate with in multiplayer.  I think the taunt input is AJD or something, but I was planning to have a full set of taunts/interactions for all occasions.  So 5 animations probably, AJD, and AJD ^V<>.  It might sound excessive to you guys, but I think they'll be great in the long run, especially with multiplayer.  


ex. Amazed/Starry eyed luffy.  



After your teammate does something cool it would be kinda fun to do this in return.  


So yea, please post any other ideas or favorite funny scenes form the anime you think could be worth creating.  Stuff for law would be great.   I was thinking his shocked face would be a good mirror to luffy's amazed face.

hell yeah man, that sounds delightfully amazing.. but I think direction_key+A+J+D i.e 4 buttons at once might not be a good idea or even work for keyboard players.
I think a different button just for taunt would be acceptable, what do other people think?
Its not like we would have to use that button in fights or it will complicated the simple combinations, but it will just make taunt better functionality and easier to use.

Well I was thinking like ADJ to go into taunt, then you can press a directional key to go into some other animation. So 5 in total I think


Would an entire new button be too much though? But if so I was thinking a button for pick up/inventory might be nice.

hmm, how about this, the different button on mere tapping will initiate the taunt, however if we hold it for a bit whilst standing on an item, it will pick it up?
Since the picking of items can't be like in LF2 (hold attack on item), as we have haki version of punches/kicks in that combination.

I only feel that ADJ => too much for just a taunt.

lol I like that. It should be like the "interact" button. So you shouldn't be able to taunt when holding an item then? Like when holding an item pressing it again will just drop it, but holding a direction with the button will throw it in that direction.

yes that sounds great.. interact button can be variously used in different occasions in stage mode as well, that's final now lol Razz

I'll post some ideas for more characters as soon as I get some.

Sorry for reviving the thread, but since this is taunts, seems to fit.
I think somebody said this before, but it's always fun when taunts change the character somehow.
Sabo can take off/put on his hat, law can take off/put on his hat, luffy can take off/put on his hat, franky can change hairstyle and put on/off sunglasses, zoro can take off/put on his bandana, sanji can put a cigarette in his mouth, vergo could take off his shirt, which would be cool, and maybe people like aokiji, akainu, kizaru, garp, etc etc can take off or put on their jackets.

It would be pretty fun Razz
And it also might create a way for luffy to fight another luffy without being confused (because one will not have a hat).
